Shipment Panamericana
On a trip Panamericana three shipments are normally required:
• shipment from Europe to North America or South America
• Shipment of North America to South America or South America to North America
• Shipment of North America or South America to Europe
The other "shipments" are car ferries where you are with the vehicle on board. for example, between the Baja California and the Mexican mainland or the car ferries in Alaska and Canada.
Shipment between Baja California and mainland Mexico
Between Baja California and the Mexican mainland several car ferries operate between Pichilingue (La Paz) and Topolobampo (Los Mochis) and Mazatlan. Further to the north runs a small car ferry between Santa Rosalia (Baja California) and Guaymas (mainland Mexico).

The circumnavigate the Darien Gap ( Darien Gap ) - by Ro, Flat rack or container - is one of the organizational challenges of a Pan-American journey. Motorhomes are usually south of Panama (PA) to Colombia (CO) shipped. Northward, the reverse.
